VinFast VF7 Electric SUV Spotted in India Ahead of Festive Season Launch

VinFast, a Vietnamese electric vehicle manufacturer, is preparing to enter the Indian market with the VF7 electric SUV. The vehicle was recently seen in Mumbai, indicating that the launch is approaching. The VF7 is expected to be introduced around October 2025 and will be assembled locally at VinFast’s new facility in Tamil Nadu.

The VF7 is anticipated to be available in two variants: Eco and Plus. The Eco variant may feature a single motor producing 204 horsepower and 310 Nm of torque, with a range of approximately 450 km.

The Plus variant could include dual motors with all-wheel drive, delivering 354 horsepower and 500 Nm of torque, and a range of about 431 km. Both versions are expected to use a 75.3 kWh battery pack.

Key features of the VF7 may include advanced driver assistance systems, 360-degree cameras, and a large touchscreen infotainment system. Color options are likely to include Brahminy White, Crimson Red, Neptune Grey, and Jet Black. VinFast plans to open bookings for the VF7 and the smaller VF6 model later in June 2025.

The company is also considering a battery leasing program to make ownership more accessible for Indian consumers.

With an expected price range of ₹20–30 lakh, the VF7 will compete with models like the BYD Atto 3 and other electric SUVs in the Indian market.
