Renault Confirms All‑Electric Duster EV

Renault Confirms All‑Electric Duster EV Duster

Renault (through its sister brand Dacia) has confirmed that an electric version of the Duster SUV is in development. The Duster EV will use the CMF‑BEV platform, the same one that underpins the Renault 5, and is expected to offer an all‑wheel‑drive option with dual motors.

Renault plans to introduce the Duster EV globally after the Sandero EV, which is scheduled for 2027. In India, the next-generation petrol Duster is expected by late 2025 or early 2026.

Renault is exploring a local electric version as well, leveraging the CMF‑BEV architecture and engaging with Indian battery suppliers to keep costs competitive. The plan may include global localization and exports from India.

Together, these moves signal Renault’s strategy to electrify its SUV lineup and offer both conventional and electric options for the Duster in major markets.
