Neuron Energy Launches Gen 2 EV Batteries for Indian Two- and Three-Wheelers Neuron

Neuron Energy has announced its new Gen 2 lithium-ion battery packs for electric two-wheelers, three-wheelers, and light commercial vehicles. These batteries will be available across India starting July 2025.

The company expects to generate over ₹250 crore in revenue from the new battery line. It is targeting EV manufacturers, fleet operators, logistics companies, battery distributors, and government agencies. This second-generation battery follows Neuron’s earlier offerings.

Pratik Kamdar, Co-founder and CEO, said the new batteries aim to balance cost and performance for India’s growing EV market. The batteries are designed to meet the increasing demand in the commercial segment.

The Gen 2 battery packs feature better heat dissipation, reinforced structural parts, and compatibility with multiple vehicle models. The battery management system is designed to reduce maintenance and extend operational life.

Neuron Energy has also added vibration protection to handle uneven roads, along with smart features like cell balancing to improve battery performance and longevity.

The company operates in India’s EV battery manufacturing sector, which is growing with rising EV adoption. It serves a wide range of electric vehicles and competes with both Indian and international players.

The Gen 2 launch comes at a time when commercial EV use is rising. Fleet operators and logistics companies are increasingly using electric vehicles for last-mile and urban transport, supported by government policies promoting clean mobility.
