Montra Electric Launches Super Cargo 3‑Wheeler in Bengaluru

Montra Electric, a Murugappa Group brand, has introduced its new Super Cargo electric three-wheeler in Bengaluru. This vehicle is meant for last‑mile delivery in urban areas.

The Super Cargo uses a 13.8 kWh lithium‑ion battery. It offers a certified range of over 200 km and an on‑road range of about 170 km. The vehicle has an 11 kW peak power motor, 70 Nm torque, and can carry a total weight of 1.2 tonnes with a gradeability of 23 percent.

Charging solutions include a 15‑minute full charge option in partnership with Exponent Energy. This option is available in select variants like eCX(Pickup), eCX d+(170 Cu.ft Container).

The Super Cargo is built on a robust boron‑steel chassis. Its wheelbase is among the longest in its class, and it offers a 6.2‑foot load tray. Safety features include front disc brakes, hill‑hold assist, reverse assist, seat‑belt provision, regenerative braking, and multiple drive modes.

The vehicle comes in three cargo body configurations: 6.2‑foot tray, 140 cu ft container, and 170 cu ft container. It is available in colors like Chilli Red, Steel Grey, Indian Blue, and Stallion Brown. Bookings are open across over 90 cities.

Prices start at ₹4.37 lakh (ex‑showroom Bengaluru, post‑subsidy). The battery carries a 5‑year or 1.75 lakh km warranty.

Company leaders said the Super Cargo fills a gap in India’s last‑mile delivery market. Montra Electric is focusing on uptime and customer support via an expanding dealer network.

This launch adds to India’s growing range of electric goods vehicles. With fast charging and strong range, the Super Cargo aims to meet the needs of fleet operators and individual delivery drivers.
