Hero MotoCorp to Launch Vida VX2 Electric Scooters on July 1

Hero MotoCorp is set to launch two new electric scooters under its Vida brand on July 1, 2025. These scooters, expected to be named Vida VX2, aim to provide affordable electric mobility options in India.

The Vida VX2 series is anticipated to come in multiple variants, potentially including VX2 Go, VX2 Plus, and VX2 Pro. The base model may feature a 2.2 kWh removable battery, offering a range of approximately 94 km and a top speed of around 69 km/h. Higher variants could include a 3.4 kWh battery, potentially extending the range beyond 100 km. These scooters are expected to support charging through standard 5-amp sockets, eliminating the need for specialized charging infrastructure.

Design-wise, the Vida VX2 models are likely to focus on practicality, featuring a single-piece seat and a digital display. The scooters are expected to have minimal connectivity features to maintain cost-effectiveness.

Pricing for the Vida VX2 series is projected to start around ₹70,000, positioning them below the current Vida V2 Lite, which starts at ₹74,000. This pricing strategy aims to make electric scooters more accessible to a broader segment of consumers, including first-time buyers and daily commuters.

With this launch, Hero MotoCorp intends to strengthen its presence in the electric two-wheeler market by offering cost-effective and practical options. The company plans to leverage its extensive dealership network to reach a wider audience, particularly in urban and semi-urban areas.
