Ather Energy Joins ThunderPlus to Unlock 140 Fast Chargers Across 15 States and 50 Cities Ather Thunder scaled

Ather Energy has partnered with ThunderPlus to give its riders access to 140 fast-charging hubs spread over 15 states and 50 cities. This move aims to ease “range anxiety” and make charging more reliable for electric two-wheeler users. Under the agreement, every Ather Grid user can plug into any ThunderPlus station.

The ThunderPlus network offers charging speeds from 30 kW up to 240 kW, suiting both quick top-ups and longer fill-ups. Together, the companies hope riders will travel farther without worrying about finding a charging point.

The partnership covers major metros like Delhi and Bengaluru, as well as smaller hubs such as Vijayawada and Ayodhya. By sharing infrastructure, Ather and ThunderPlus want to build an interoperable network rather than each operating in isolation.

Rajeev YSR, CEO of ThunderPlus, said that collaboration will win the EV revolution, not competition. He added that the tie-up opens 140 ThunderPlus hubs overnight to Ather riders and that the company is ready to partner with other OEMs.

This alliance is part of a broader industry trend toward shared charging networks. Both Ather and ThunderPlus see this as essential to support India’s shift to clean mobility and to encourage more people to choose electric vehicles.
