Oben Electric Surpasses 1,400 Electric Motorcycles in Six Months, Eyes Rapid Expansion

Bengaluru‑based Oben Electric has sold over 1,443 motorcycles between January and July 9, 2025, taking its total sales since launch to 2,077 units, including 634 units in 2024 . The majority of recent sales have come from the Rorr EZ model introduced in November 2024. The company plans to expand its dealer and service network from 37 showrooms to 150 by the end of FY26 across more than 50 cities.

Oben also recently closed an extended Series A funding round totaling ₹100 crore and bringing its total capital raised to ₹200 crore. This infusion will support manufacturing scale-up, new model development, and nationwide retail growth.

Oben’s motorcycles use in-house developed components, including IPMSM motors and LFP battery technology. The Rorr EZ offers an IDC-certified range of up to 175 km, a top speed of 95 km/h, and 0–40 km/h acceleration in 3.3 seconds. The flagship Rorr targets the 150 cc ICE bike segment with 187 km range and 100 km/h top speed.

Founder and CEO Madhumita Agrawal emphasizes customer trust, highlighted by a 24/7 helpline and integrated Oben Care service centers. Future plans include introducing a more affordable “O100” platform, increasing showroom presence, and entering new regions.

Oben is now positioned alongside rivals like Revolt Motors, Ultraviolette, Ola Electric, and Hero MotoCorp in the fast‑growing electric motorcycle market
