VinFast Partners with RoadGrid to Build EV Charging and Service Network in India

VinFast Auto India has announced a partnership with RoadGrid, a domestic provider of electric vehicle charging and aftersales services. This collaboration aims to support VinFast’s upcoming entry into the Indian EV market by establishing a network of 120 service and charging hubs across the country.

The service centers will be equipped to handle aftersales requirements and digital diagnostics. RoadGrid’s infrastructure will enable real-time support and customer assistance, helping VinFast provide a seamless ownership experience. The charging stations will also be integrated into this network, addressing one of the key challenges in EV adoption—access to reliable charging facilities.

VinFast plans to begin operations in India with a $500 million investment in a manufacturing plant located in Thoothukudi, Tamil Nadu. The plant is expected to have a production capacity of up to 150,000 electric vehicles per year. The company also intends to export vehicles from India to markets in the Middle East and Africa.

According to VinFast Asia CEO Pham Sanh Chau, the partnership with RoadGrid is focused on ensuring reliable support for customers. RoadGrid CEO Deepesh Shrinath said that the joint effort would help build a dependable EV infrastructure and strengthen the overall ecosystem.

VinFast’s approach combines local manufacturing, charging solutions, and service accessibility. This move is seen as a step forward in building trust and convenience for EV buyers in India, as the company prepares to launch its first products in 2025.
